No final da década de 1930, um pequeno grupo de homens e seu coronel cristeiro se recusam a aceitar a anistia. Em vez disso, continuam sua luta contra a perseguição religiosa e pelo direito de praticar sua fé. Eles são soldados de Cristo, os últimos homens de pé contra o exército mexicano, com comida e provisões diminuindo cada vez mais, enquanto continuam sua jornada por uma paisagem árida e proibida.

At the end of the 1930s, a small band of men and their Christero colonel refuse to accept amnesty. Instead, they continue their fight against religious persecution and their right to practice their faith. They are soldiers of Christ, the last men standing against the Mexican army, with diminishing food and provisions, as they continue their journey against an arid and forbidding landscape.
